This 1916 Florence Goldfield Mine (Goldfield, Nv) check voucher provides a fascinating glimpse into the daily workings of a major precious metal underground almost One Hundred years ago. Although we run across a fair amount of mining checks, receipts and other similar financial documents, the check vouchers of this quality are were generally purged from the files and harder to find -especially one matched with the original vendor invoice.  They only maintained one file and most folks, including companies, simply did not save this type of material.  This receipt was for a box of blasting caps!
